jtav: (writing)

I have an absolutely massive case of writer's block. It's been coming on for a while now, ("Turnabout" gave me fits), and is now in full bloom. I know what happens, but I can't seem to write it. The story will probably be the longest thing I've ever written and is a gift, so I'm doubly intimidated. I'll get throug this, it's just going to take time.

Sorry to hear that. Just take it easy, enjoy the break while you can :)

Heh, thanks. I'm actually forcing myself to work through it. It seem to be working. I wrote three and a half pages today.

that works too. I read a quote a few days ago from Brian Michael Bendis when he was asked what kept him writing. He said that when he was in college he worked with at McDonalds with a woman who had been with at the restaurant for 30 years. On his last day at McDonalds his manager told him that he'd always have a place at McDonalds. He says it's the the thought, 'I'll always have a place at McDonalds,' that keeps him motivated to write.
