Thanks for the comment. As I said in my email, your diary entries were instrumental in the writing of this fic, so I'm especially happy you liked it. I think Harry needed to be slapped in the face with his policy of cutting people off for their own safety not working. And yes, I think Rodolphus would prefer to use torture for interrogation. It's more fun for him.
