Drabble: Free Time (Harry/Ginny)

Title: Free Time

Summary: Ginny ponders what to do now that the kids are at Hogwarts.
Author's note: This was written for the hpgw100 "summer" prompt. I didn't make the deadline but it seemed a shame to let it go to waste.
 

"This is the last time we'll have any of them home until next summer." Ginny sighed. "I've gotten so used to having the kids around, I won't know what to do with myself."

"I've got a few ideas." Harry pulled a brochure out of his robes. A grinning wizard beamed at her while Quidditch players zoomed past in the background. It read: A Fly-by Tour of the Most Famous Sites in Wizarding Sports! "I know how much you wanted to go. Now you can."

"I thought you were saving for a new broom."

"You're more important, Ginny. You always were."

Thank you. I was looking around for a H/G comm where I could pimp the Ginny Big Bang and stumbled across last week's prompt. Unfortunately, that was ten minutes before they changed it to this week's prompt. Still, inspiration is inspiration.

I'm assuming you found an appropriate comm? I'd recommend harry_and_ginny (bigger membership) or hg_silverlining (active recently).

I found them. My problem is the moderated membership. I've tried a couple of times to get added to harry_and_ginny without success and I'm waiting on the hg_silverlining people to approve my promotion request. Is there some reason most H/G comms have moderated membership? I understand Catch My Snitch's rationale, but the rest confuse me.

There's not a big problem of it now, but it used to be that 90% of the fandom hated Harry/Ginny and its fans, and there were troll problems. :(

Makes sense. The FA wars were vicious. (And I say that as an ardent H/L shipper and occasional ARGHer). We're doing everything we can to reach the H/G crowd, but it'sss been slow going.
