I love your characterization of Peter, particularly the insight into his parents and their views about being the "cogs in the machine." Peter here is a likable, realistic character, but I can still see the personality traits that will lead to his betrayal. I've read few, if any fics that have been able to pull that off, so well done!

Also: Peter figured Black never had to give up his Chocolate Frog Cards to anybody made me laugh.
